What People Are Saying About US2

“It had not occurred to me that my son would benefit or need a resume and brag book as he was applying to high schools. Michele Webster and Amy Heller proved to me how worthwhile it is. When my son handed his resume to and shared his brag book with admissions counselors, not only did he impress the heck out of them, his confidence in himself soared.

Michele and Amy personally assisted each 8th grader (and their parents) in finding what to include in the resume and brag book. They were there each step of the way for the kids and for me."

“I want to thank you for the excellent course you two have presented to our 7th and 8th grade students as they prepare to transition to high school.  It is clearly a signature program for our school.  You have applied some of the theory and best practices that our teachers and counselor employ with our middle school students, and added the practical application.  Because our students don’t see you every day as they do their teachers, they tend to pay closer attention and they value the hands-on approach.

As one who conducts the final interview with each student, I have seen the growth and confidence they bring to the interview.  You have taught them to understand and articulate their transferrable skills in preparing their resumes and to build an authentic portfolio that not only showcases their accomplishments, but also helps guide the interviewing process for them.  Equally important, their self confidence has grown.

Thanks also for reaching out to our parents so that they can help with the process.  From my own experience raising children, I know that they frequently share very little about what they are doing in school with their parents.

Students, parents, faculty and administrators are very pleased with the course and the results we are experiencing.  Thanks for all your work.”

  Joe D, Head of School

“My school entrance interview was awesome!  I wasn’t nervous at all because I knew what to say and what to expect.”

  Sam, 8th grade student

“I think the class is fabulous!  The students learned so much about resume writing and their strengths.  It gave them confidence to go on an interview and feel they could advocate for themselves. The students could practice how to excel at an interview.  I’m glad that the students at our school could take part in such a worthwhile course!  This course will help them throughout their school career and beyond.”

"It is with great pleasure that I write in recommendation for Ultimate Success 2. My son Gerry recently completed a workshop designed to plan for his future high school career. As a parent and educator I found this experience to be beneficial and rewarding for both my son and myself.

Students in the eighth grade at Center School in Abington, PA created a dossier similar to a portfolio including a resume and documentation of awards and earned certificates. The process of thinking about life’s accomplishments and gathering evidence of these activities was really motivating for my son. Through guided group discussion and brainstorming sessions Gerry was able to recognize that he had something to offer. He really felt good about himself!

Assembling the materials he collected in a binder, writing a resume and role playing prepared my son for a high school admissions interview.  Having his binder helped boost his confidence and gave him the edge he needed!
As a family we’re looking forward to a successful high school experience at La Salle College High School and thank Ultimate Success 2 for their help."
